THE SECRETARIAT OF ECONOMY PROMOTES INVESTMENT IN THE MEXICAN MINING SECTOR

Jimena Valverde Altamirano, General Mining Coordinator from the Secretariat of Economy, participated in the seminar Mining Opportunities, that took place in the cities of Perth and Brisbane, Australia, where she promote the investment opportunities for the Mexican mining sector.
The presentation of the Mexican delegation, focus on the Mexican law frame, infrastructure, geological information and the current opportunities of the sector presented by the Geological Mexican Service.
The Australian Government organized the seminar Mining Opportunities, which was held in the city of Perth, one of the Australian provinces with the most advance development of the mining industry.
Before more than 60 of the most important mining companies in Australia, Jimena Valverde detailed the Mexican legal frame, the environmental regulations, work safety and finally, was presented the productive sectors offered by ProMéxico.
During the seminar, the Geological Mexican Service promote also the explore projects in the country which are ready to operate; moreover, participated in the exchange of successful experience for the development of the sector in exploratory stage with institutions such as:
 Department of State Development, Resources and Industry Development.
 Association of Mining and Exploration Companies.
